The African Dairy Genetic Gains (ADGG) project is a collaborative effort aimed at improving the productivity and profitability of smallholder dairy farmers in Africa through the use of genetically superior dairy cattle.

This report provides an overview of the project’s objectives, implementation, and outcomes, including insights from group discussions with stakeholders in Tanzania and Ethiopia.

The report highlights the importance of market analysis, data collection, and knowledge sharing in achieving the project’s goals, as well as the need to address regulatory barriers and knowledge gaps.

The ADGG project has already made significant progress in improving the quality and quantity of milk production in participating countries, and there are plans to expand the project to other regions in the future.
