WorldFish would like to hire an intern who will assist the project team in Malaysia and Timor-Leste by providing structured support for project outputs, documentation, data management, and workshop preparations. The project is nearing completion, and effective documentation, data organization, and event support are critical to ensure a smooth and successful closure.

The successful candidate will:

1. Documentation Management:

  • Structure and organize all project outputs, reports, training materials, guidelines, and related documentation into clearly labeled and systematically arranged folders.
  • Ensure all documents are archived digitally according to project standards

2. Data Organization:

  • Review and organize all datasets, including beneficiary records, GPS data, capacity development, and other relevant data.
  • Support the project team in data validation and preparation of summary tables and figures for final reporting.

3. Event Coordination and Support:

  • Assist in logistical preparations for the project completion workshop, including participant registration, venue setup, and documentation of workshop.
  • Assist with taking photos and videos during the workshop as well as compiling workshop notes and materials.

4. General Project Support:

  • Provide general administrative assistance to the project team during the wrap-up phase as required.

Requirements

This opportunity will be suitable for you if you have the below skills and qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant discipline (e.g., Project Management, Aquaculture, Agriculture, Environmental Studies, Business Administration, or related fields).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data management.
  • Basic photography and videography skills, including use of smartphones or cameras.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in local language (Tetum) is an advantage.

Location and Duration

Successful intern will be based at WorldFish Headquarters, in Penang, Malaysia. The successful candidate should be available to commence the internship as soon as possible until 30 June 2025. This position is open only to national applicants only. Interviews are expected to be held in May 2025 and only shortlisted candidates will be notified and expected to attend the interview.
