From April 18, 2023, about 490 aspiring agripreneurs have been incubating under the second cohort of Component 3 of the PDCVA. They are undergoing a 9-month agribusiness incubation program to give them access to training and skills in business development, agricultural products marketing, modern production, leadership, and management.
After several theoretical courses held throughout May and June 2023, which consisted of updating basic agribusiness concepts and analyzing agricultural value chains to identify business opportunities, the trainees began agribusiness internship programs to gain agripreneurial experiences in the basic pilot businesses they had developed. This program aims to connect the trainees with businesses in the sector they had identified for their enterprises and to develop bankable business plans that partner financial institutions could potentially finance.
