Evaluation of the CGIAR Gender Platform, towards GDI-Responsive Evaluation Guidelines

12:00-13:00 (UTC+1)
ICARDA Offices, Rabat Morocco and online

This side event will engage a multi-stakeholder audience in learning from the recent evaluation of the CGIAR GENDER Platform (GP) and discuss forthcoming activities in CGIAR’s multi-year evaluation plan related to gender-responsive evaluation. The aim is to facilitate use of evaluative evidence supporting CGIAR’s goal to positively impact gender equality, opportunities for youth and advance social inclusion in agriculture and food systems.  The side event will:

  • Showcase contextual and methodological insights and results from the GENDER Platform Evaluation and forthcoming GDI-Responsive Evaluation Guideline.
  • Illustrate synergies between ex ante proposal reviews and process & performance evaluations in CGIAR.
  • Cultivate a discourse about the practical application of evaluative learning in shaping the ongoing CGIAR portfolio review.
  • Contribute to CGIAR’s efforts to advance gender equality and social inclusion within agricultural Research for Development (R4D).
