Les Assises MEDVALLÉE will occur on October 15, 2024, at 17:30 in Montpellier, France.
Now in its second year, this event will showcase the strengths and successes of the dynamic MEDVALLÉE ecosystem in Global Health.
About the event
Organized by Montpellier Métropole, this event will bring together economic actors, higher education and research institutions, and regional, national, and international opinion leaders engaged in the MEDVALLÉE initiative. This cross-sector collaboration, which spans the fields of Food, Health, and Environment, aims to address the major challenges of tomorrow through shared expertise and innovation.
The event is part of the broader strategy initiated by the Montpellier Métropole in 2021, co-founded by the Occitanie Region and the French State. It will focus on Global Health, highlighting progress and discussing the future of sustainable development and territorial planning.
CGIAR participation
Patrick Caron, President of Agropolis International and Vice President of CGIAR, and Guillaume Grosso, Deputy Executive Managing Director of CGIAR, will speak at the Roundtable: Food, Health, and Environment event. The discussion will focus on the region’s engagement in global health and how the three fields of excellence—food, Health, and Environment—are contributing to addressing global challenges.
