The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) will host the hybrid event “A New Vision for Earth” in Nairobi, Kenya, on the 11-12 October, 2023.
As the world’s largest knowledge-driven platform, GLF convenes policymakers, researchers, activists, and communities to facilitate dialogues, knowledge sharing, and cooperative efforts for a more resilient and equitable world.
“A New Vision for Earth”
The 2023 GLF event, “A New Vision For Earth,” centers around two themes. The first, “African Sovereign Solutions,” explores equitable solutions for African climate, food systems, value chains, and communities. The second, “Survival Guide for a Planet in Crisis,” prepares for COP28 by offering a real survival guide for Earth, culminating in a call to action directed at global leaders and policymakers.
After her inspiring address at the first GLF in 2013, CGIAR System Board Chair Prof. Lindiwe Majele Sibanda will return as an inspirational speaker during the event’s closing plenary on October 12, “Survival Guide for a Planet in Crisis. The event will be hosted by the CIFOR-ICRAF Research Institute campus in Nairobi, Kenya, and will also be available for online streaming.
