The 2024 Global Baku Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC), will be held 14–16 March in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Since its inception, the Global Baku Forum has become a significant event for fostering international cooperation and understanding, providing a platform for exchanging ideas and proposing solutions to global problems. Baku, located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, offers a strategic and symbolic setting for such an international gathering, reflecting Azerbaijan’s role as a bridge between different cultures and regions.

The Global Baku Forum

This forum brings together global leaders, including current and former heads of state, government officials, experts from various fields, Nobel Laureates, and representatives from civil society and the private sector.

The primary aim of the forum is to facilitate high-level dialogue and discussion on a wide range of global issues, including peace, security, intercultural and interfaith dialogue, sustainable development, and many other pressing challenges facing the world today.

CGIAR Participation

CGIAR’s Executive Managing Director, Ismahane Elouafi, will be speaking together with other distinguished global leaders.

On the 15th of March, she will be a speaker in Panel 5, “Financing Our Survival: Climate Justice,” from 11:30 to 13:00; on the 16th of March, she will speak during Panel 9, “Building Resilience for Global Challenges: Addressing Inequality, Resource Scarcity and  Migration,” from 11:00 to 12:15.
