The Africa Summit 2024, hosted by the Financial Times, will take place in London, United Kingdom, on October 29th and 30th, 2024.

A prestigious lineup of policymakers, business leaders, financiers, and visionaries will engage in crucial dialogues and networking to transform Africa’s challenges into opportunities.

About the Summit

This year’s Summit aims to answer the following question: how can African nations harness their strengths, navigate global volatility, address the climate crisis, and unlock the power of their youth to drive sustainable, inclusive growth?

The Summit gives participants the opportunity to learn from the latest analyses of African business, economics, politics, and investment opportunities. Additionally, they will be able to connect with global investors, African CEOs, financiers, and policymakers and discover the continent’s burgeoning prospects, growing industries, and investment opportunities.

CGIAR participation

On the 30th of October at 15:20, IITA Director General and CGIAR Regional Director for Africa Simeon Ehui will participate in the panel “The development of Africa’s agri-food sector – can it provide food security for Africa and the world?”
