The Government of the Republic of Korea will host the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit, which will take place in Ilsan and Seoul on June 4th and 5th, 2024.

The Summit marks Korea and Africa’s strong commitment to enhancing their cooperation. It focuses on the theme of “The future we make together: Shared growth, sustainability, and solidarity.”

About the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit

This event reflects the imperative for collaboration between Korea and Africa in light of the increasing influence of the “Global South.” Africa’s strategic importance is on the rise, making partnership essential rather than optional for Korea.

The Summit aims to explore pathways for shared growth, recognizing Africa’s status as a driving force of global economic growth with its youthful population and vast potential. Additionally, it seeks to address global challenges such as climate change and food security through collective action and solidarity.

Ultimately, the Summit serves as a milestone for fostering solidarity and shaping a future of sustainable co-prosperity between Korea and Africa.
