The Asia and the Pacific Food Security Forum 2024, hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), will take place from 9–12 April 2024 at the ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines, with a hybrid format.
This forum is a critical platform for addressing the escalating food crisis in the region and enhancing long-term food security by fortifying food systems against climate change and biodiversity loss.
This year’s goals and aims
Stakeholders from across Asia and the Pacific will gather to review ADB’s progress towards its $14 billion commitment to food security from 2022-2025 and discuss the bank’s future strategies in partnership with diverse stakeholders.
The forum aims to foster a shared understanding among policymakers of the challenges and opportunities in transforming food systems for sustainable futures.
It will highlight ADB’s operational performance in food security, confirm forward support programs, and strengthen partnerships for knowledge sharing and food system transformation. Participation is free, with pre-registration required for attendees.

The session discusses a regional foresight study on future scenarios of food systems in Asia and the Pacific by 2050 to bring out policy and financing implications while highlighting sector and thematic priorities that should be incorporated in regional and national level food security planning. |
