The Africa Food Systems Forum 2024 Annual Summit will be held from 2 to 6 September 2024 in Kigali, Rwanda.
The summit’s primary goal is to transform African food systems to ensure food security and foster job opportunities, particularly for youth and women.
About the Summit
Preparing for the Africa Food Systems Forum 2024 involves a multifaceted approach, addressing global challenges and opportunities in food systems transformation. Key focus areas include innovative science and policies, digital technologies, equipment, and home-grown and global solutions aimed at achieving scaled investments.
The agenda emphasizes sustainable development, resilience, and equitable food systems. Engagement with diverse stakeholders and partnerships with international organizations are crucial.
Logistics will ensure sustainable facilities and robust digital infrastructure. The summit dates are:
- Pre-Summit: September 2, 2024
- Summit: September 3-6, 2024
The venue will be the Kigali Convention Center (KCC) in Kigali, Rwanda. Post-summit plans include developing an implementation framework, monitoring progress, and maintaining ongoing dialogue.
