The 2024 World Farmers Organization Annual Meeting, hosted by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, will occur from June 17th to June 21st, 2024, at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy.
The 2024 WFO Annual Meeting theme, “Harvesting tomorrow: Farmers shaping the future of agriculture and food production,” highlights farmers’ role as fundamental contributors to the sustainable development of agriculture and food production.
About WFO
The World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO) is a member-based organization whose current members are 80 national farmers’ organizations from 55 countries. It aims to give a global voice to the more than 550 million family farms worldwide.
The organization’s main mandate is to represent Farmers’ voices in international discussions on food security, climate change, and biodiversity, among other topics, both within and outside the United Nations. Farmers’ indispensable role, with their innovative practices and extensive knowledge, is crucial in tackling global challenges such as food security, climate change, and the preservation of biodiversity.
