The African Development Bank will host the Annual Meetings, which will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 27 to 30 May 2024.
This year’s theme, which comprises the 59th Annual Assembly of the African Development Bank and the 50th meeting of the African Development Fund, is “Africa’s Transformation, the African Development Bank Group, and Reform of the Global Financial Architecture.”
The Annual Meetings
The African Development Bank Group‘s Annual Meetings provide a distinctive platform for sharing knowledge among top African decision-makers, important officials from bilateral and multilateral development agencies, prominent academics, and representatives from non-governmental organizations, civil society, and the private sector.
CGIAR Participation
CGIAR System Board Chair Dr. Lindiwe Sibanda will attend the Collaboration between the African Development Bank and One CGIAR side event on May 30 at 5 p.m. The presentation will highlight the significance and contributions of CGIAR as a global science and policy-driven force for global agricultural transformation. Reference will also be made to the impact areas in One CGIAR’s reform and its strong emphasis on country and regional engagement.
