Hosted by the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Finance, the 2024 Africa Caucus Meeting will be held from 1–3 August 2023 in Abuja, Nigeria.

The primary goal of the meeting is to address intra-African trade as a crucial catalyst for sustainable economic growth and to prepare input for the IMF and World Bank’s annual meetings.

About the Summit

The 2024 African Caucus Meeting is hosted by the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, OFR, who is the Governor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) for the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Chair of the 2024 African Caucus.

This event is supported by the leadership of His Excellency, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the entire people of Nigeria.

CGIAR participation

Dr. Simeon Ehui, Director General of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and Regional Director of the Consultative Group for Agricultural Research (CGIAR) will be moderating the session “Leveraging on Partnership with MDBs,” from 09:00 am to 10:00 am.
