The 11th Global Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action will take place as a hybrid event from 10 to 12 October 2023, in Berlin. It has been organized by the Anticipation Hub, in collaboration with organizations like FAO, WFP, and OCHA

This year’s theme, “People at the Center: Scaling Up Anticipatory Action,” promotes anticipatory action for potential hazards.

In 2022, over 3.6 million people in 30 countries benefited from this proactive approach. The 2023 event seeks to enhance the inclusivity of anticipatory action, emphasizing the importance of local involvement and evidence-based decision-making.

It also aims to foster partnerships across sectors, including development and climate, for more effective action. Two key workshops will be presented by the Global Shield Against Climate Risk and the Early Warning For All Initiative.

Updates on CGIAR participation will be provided soon.
