The CGIAR Initiative on Resilient Cities is fostering new research collaborations across the agrifood and urban sectors, combining biophysical and social sciences. The focus is on the following areas:

• Enabling sustainable production of nutritious foods in urban zones
• Strengthening inclusive and sustainable informal food markets and supply chains
• Strengthening the circular bioeconomy
• Improving urban food environments and adolescent diets
• Strengthening research and innovation capacity
